Jollido
ABOUT JOLLIDO

Social anxiety has a pattern. We built an app for yours.

We’re Joni and Olli, two psychologists.

Our clients are worn out by meetings, parties, presentations and dates. They rehearse the worst case beforehand, then replay it for days. Jollido is for them.

Where the idea came from.

JONI’S PHONE CALLS

For many years, Joni phoned his socially anxious clients before difficult situations and again afterwards. It gave them support at the moment they needed it, and gave him an accurate picture of what happened while it was still fresh.

OLLI’S AI COACH

Then AI reached the point where that call could be made by a coach instead. Olli, who had been building with AI models for years, saw the same opening: practice a conversation before facing it, or roleplay one on demand.

Jollido is those two ideas put together.

It grew from a Finnish social anxiety program launched in 2019.

Meet the founders.

Your AI coach follows the same cognitive behavioral therapy principles Joni and Olli use with their clients. MentalNext is the company behind Jollido.

The science behind Jollido.

Jollido is built on two methods with decades of research behind them: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and social skills training (SST). Here is what each one is, what the evidence shows, and how Jollido uses it.

CBTCognitive behavioral therapy

What is CBT?

Cognitive behavioral therapy is an evidence-based treatment for social anxiety. It finds the thoughts and habits behind your social anxiety, then changes them through therapy sessions and exposure training in everyday situations.

Does CBT for social anxiety work?

100+clinical trials in one meta-analysis
84%no longer met diagnostic criteria in one trial

CBT is the most researched approach for social anxiety disorder. A meta-analysis of over 100 clinical trials found individual CBT the most effective first-line treatment available (Mayo-Wilson et al., 2014, The Lancet Psychiatry). In one randomized trial, 84% of patients no longer met diagnostic criteria after individual cognitive therapy (Clark et al., 2006).

Is Jollido the same as CBT?

Jollido is a well-being app built on CBT principles, and the research above is for CBT delivered by a therapist. We believe an AI coach brings benefits of its own, and that evidence is still developing.

SSTSocial skills training

What is SST?

Social skills training is a method many therapists use to build the social skills that anxiety disrupts. You roleplay difficult conversations in a safe setting and get feedback from the therapist.

Does SST for social anxiety work?

104randomized trials across 27 countries
67%no longer met diagnostic criteria in one trial

SST has less research behind it than CBT. The existing evidence is encouraging, especially when SST is used alongside CBT. A network meta-analysis of 104 randomized controlled trials across 27 countries found it beneficial for social anxiety disorder (Xiong et al., 2026, Frontiers in Psychology). In one randomized trial, 67% of patients no longer met diagnostic criteria after SST combined with exposure therapy (Beidel et al., 2014, Journal of Anxiety Disorders).

Is Jollido the same as SST?

Jollido follows SST principles, with your AI coach as the conversation partner and the one giving feedback. The findings above are for SST delivered by human therapists, and the evidence for AI-delivered SST is still developing.

Our aim is the world’s leading app for social anxiety. The evidence for AI-delivered support is still developing, and we’re building carefully as it does.

Two ways to practice, built around you.

#1

Real-life practice

Based on CBT. Your assessment finds your thoughts and habits, and your practice is built around them.

  • An exercise at your comfort level, ready before the situation
  • Do it in a real-life situation, with your goal in mind
  • Debrief together afterwards, so you stop replaying it for days

#2

Social skills practice

Based on SST. Your assessment finds the social skills you feel least sure about, then builds practice around them.

  • Pick a scenario: small talk, a first date, speaking up in a meeting
  • You and your coach agree the difficulty level
  • Roleplay it over a call, get feedback, try again

NO THEORY NEEDED

We’ve got you covered. Just follow your program, one small step at a time, and your social skills will grow.
